Dr Theodric Lee (李隽医生) graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2004. He was awarded his Masters Degree in Paediatric Medicine in 2011 and was awarded Membership to the Royal College of Paediatricians and Child Health in the United Kingdom in 2012. He was accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board as a specialist in Paediatric Medicine in 2014.
Dr Lee completed his specialist training in the Department of Paediatrics, National University Hospital (NUH) during which he was a member of the Division of Pulmonology and Sleep. He has a special interest in childhood respiratory conditions including asthma, allergies and chronic cough; as well as childhood sleep issues including behavioural sleep problems (e.g. night-wakings, bedtime resistance) and sleep disorders (e.g. obstructive sleep apnoea). He completed a stint in Paediatric Sleep Medicine at the Department of Sleep Medicine, Sydney Children’s Hospital in 2015. He was an instructor in paediatric bronchoscopy at the NUH Paediatric Flexible Bronchoscopy Course, which draws attendees from around the world, in 2013 and 2014. For his work in paediatric respiratory and sleep medicine he was elected a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) from 2017.
Dr Lee contributes articles regularly to health magazines and gives health talks regularly to both medical professionals and the general public. He gave an oral presentation on childhood invasive pneumococcal disease in NUH during the 12th International Congress on Paediatric Pulmonology in Valencia, Spain in 2013 where he was a finalist of the Young Investigator Award. He was also a speaker at the 45th Singapore Medical Association Medical Convention 2014, speaking on asthma and exercise in Mandarin. He spoke on Paediatric Sleep Medicine on live Chinese radio with Love 972 in Aug 2015.
Dr Lee is a father of 2 young children and is passionate in helping parents deal with the rigors of parenthood. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children looking for hidden finds to have fun in the Singapore heartlands.
